Ghost in the CT

Ghost with a smile

I decided to visit the CT, it had 3 players in it and had a blast for about an hour.  Decided to drop back in after a few hours and there were 11 flyers in there saying this could get good.
Took off toward the red flashing base… nothing here hmmm must be hidden, all of the sudden I here the ping and black smoke starts pouring.  As I start to bring her around looking back hmmm nothing. Hit the Alt R hearing a six call???? There goes the wing,
As I’m to low to bail and looking at the pine tree from a 45 degree angle I said this is going to hurt.
As my eyes (screen) start to clear, I wake up in the tower, I look down and there he is…… the one that deprived me from that sensation of flight.
Normally knowing I deserved to “cough” die after making a move saying I shouldn’t have done that, I would type to the victor.  But my fingers hit the keys so fast typing where were you on the ground or in the air?
He came back “in the air” I said hmm , got to see this one.
Hitting the windows button and in 5 seconds it was that French word like I been here before.  It was kinda weird though I was the only one in the air, no friendly, no bogie.
I hit a new challenge in my life and said I’d like to experience that again.  Taking off with cameras rolling, circling slowly getting up to about 6k, started seeing long distance contacts.  Pulling up radar and nothing green “got to be bogie”, pulled her over and just as you know when the little dot gets bigger and it come into view what you up against, it disappeared.
Looked up about ten o’clock and there is another one.  But this one is a little strange, it looks like a contact that is about 8 miles out and it goes by my canopy like it was 10 feet away doing Mac 4.
After seeing about 20 of the    of the      you are going to make me say it ufo’s I started turning back toward the field, about 5 miles out I started to set up for the approach then BAME 2 bullet holes in the shield, banking her over you here the one sound you hate - a 20MM slicing the wing.
Waiting to see the dust cloud of my bones and looking for that same French word as I see who’s name is in that old yeller type.
Waiting to see if he’d type “yup I was in the air” …nothing so I typed “real cute”.
Putting this in my memoirs of Aces High saying only that I’d like to learn that trick.

This sounds like dot bug.  Its more common in the H2H rooms, but what happens is that the planes, friendly or enemy, never change from that far distance dot.  All you need to do to fix it is exit AH, then relog.

I bet you didnt hear any sound either.

same thing happen to me on the DA all the plane was in dot mode with no regard to how close you got to them though the other players reported that they can see me just fine, restarting AH seemed to fix it.

Its a very common and annoying bug on the Finn/Russ map Ruin. Ive never noticed it in the CT on any other map.

Check your net status when you are in the CT. I forget which of the 2 monitors when it opens, but if one is pegged at a high setting, relog and come back in. You won't see a con other than a very fast gnat type of thingy, then you die and go "what the whosa the *UC* I benn ripped waaa glorpy arrrggghhhh!!!". On occasion I've hit this bug to.:)

That is what is was, it rocked the plane  as it went by at warp 2.  If I understand that if my net connection not stable at the start, I need to relog at that point.

Thanks

I could have SWORN HT fixed it 2 patches ago so you couldnt run the film player while AH was running?  Has this changed back?

If we were running that pac setup 2 days back like what was talked about we wouldn't be having this conversation... eh Slash? And what happend to the current group of new CM's? How about making some people who actually fly in the CT a couple times a week a CM? Or do we really want the CT to just go away? Lots of questions here, I don't expect any real answers either... just being whimsical.
