Okay...you have only ten years...

first time I ever agreed with rolex...

I have allways lived like I was gonna die soon.   My lifestyle seemed like it was inevitable...  oddly... I have outlived most of my friends.   I find this ironic.   Living with no regrets tho means different things at different times of your life.

this is as it should be.   I once quit a very good job because I was 23 and they had a retirement meeting...  In it the guy told me just where I would be when I was 65.    The thought of knowing where I would be scared me so much I quit before the month was up and rebuilt my old Harley.

Finally learn to play the guitar ( I've always thought I had time)

I don't know about having another child....  he/she would be 10 yrs when they lose their father..

Move to somewhere beautiful and write down as many lessons I've learned about life, to be passed on to my little girl, so I can still help her get through it in some way.

I can think of of few people that I would like to take with me too.....

If you were smart you would always live your life like you had ten years or less to live.

I'm with you on this one.

Hell... If I'd have done that, I wouldn't have children.

... and I wouldn't have married either.

The question was live your life, not plan your finances.

I'd do what I'm doing now. I already spent most of my adult life in service one way or another. Rigt now, full time RV'ing seems a great way to see as much of this country as I can and experiance as many different things as I can.

I've lived with death enough already for both myself and family. It can wait, I won't hold my breath for it. ;)

The reality of it is you have to make a choice.

You are already locked into a lifestyle; family, job, hobbies, debts, homeownership, etc.. People have links to you and you to them.

Are you really going to make any major changes in those relationships? You still have obligations, you still have to support people.

The idea that "yeah, I'm just going to chuck all this and go do things I want to do" ala "Easy Rider" (Pete Fonda tosses his wristwatch away) isn't an easy decision.

Ask me how I know.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

I'd keep doing the things I do now. I wouldn't want it any other way. Even though I don't love my job it pays the bills and I like the people I work with. Besides getting to spend almost every day at home with my two boys and the woman I have loved from the first time I talked to her is the only way I want to go out of here.

My only regret is that my chance to join the military was pulled out from under me by a wrecked knee the day I was headed to the recruiters office after practice. I was US Navy bound and of course like the invincible 20 year old kid I was in 1991 all I wanted was a chance to go to BUD/S and be a SEAL. The simple fact that I was not able to do that was only offset by the intense friendships that I then developed among my college teammates. And the way I worked to get back to be able to play again. That is my only regret and its offset by my being a part of something that I think is great in helping start a new college football program at UAB back then.

I'd commit industrial espionage, then I'd go to fed prison and get 50 years easy time, in a nice luxury apartment with conjugal visits.

....much better than the lousy ten years YOU gave me
