Fsstart?

A while back I had a program that would shut down all background programs so my games would run faster.  I THINK it was called FSSTART.exe or something like that.  I had to re-do my system, and would appreciate a link to this download if someone could kindly provide it.  If it isn't by that name, it is close.

If you go to Download.com and search for a program called "End It All" it does the same thing.

download.com

Do a search for it at the link above. I could not find the exact program you are looking for, but this one is essentially the same and probably better.

Humm.. ran that exe and its not a very good program.  This program im looking for automatically shuts down background progs when you run the game you want, then restarts them when you are done

You run End It All and you choose what programs you want to "end", so you don't crash Windows. Then when you're done playing you simply "activate" the programs again, or relog and your system goes back to the way it originally started. I'll keep looking for the program that you are looking for. I'll let ya know.

BlackViper is a great site. Go to the area that tells you how to set up a profile. (Windows XP Services Configurations) This will allow you to select a certian profile when you boot your PC. I set up one for when I am going to play AH. Huge differance in my game performance.

he's thinking of FSAutoStarty thingy.  It can be setup so that when AH is launched, it shuts down all other bacground programs.

Thanks for all the help guys. I got another 1 for ya though:D  I went and disabled all the programs I wanted turned off when I go to play AH2, hit the start button and it worked fine. But how do I now restore my old settings? There was a start button but is there a stop? And to avoid confusion this is for the FSAutostart.
