Ok, what's going on?

I'm having a BIG problem with shooting down planes. I get the hit sprites sometimes 30-40 of them and nothing. We're talking .05 cals and hispanos ... not crappy .303s .. I've got a cable modem.. What's going on?

Could still be a crappy connect anyway, but check and make sure in your vid cards setup options if available that Vsync is set ON.
If set to off (which many people do because it increases your scores and frame rates in test programs etc) then it is known to give rubber bullet syndrome in various programs.
Definitely in AH and EAW, so when gaming always have Vsync set ON.
Also under your windows joystick setup under Controller ID's at the bottom left is a box called "Poll with interrupts enabled" usuallly this is OFF but if you have problems its worth while changing this setting as it has helped cure these problems before.
Of course another option is are you hitting at or at least near convergence as this can make a big difference.
