What channel's it on? I've only seen one episode, and that was in 1998 when they aired it on PBS.

Supposedly Cleese based the show on an actual hotel he stayed in. Too bad they only made 13 episodes. The BBC had a habit of doing that with excellent shows like Fawlty Towers and Good Neighbors (The Good Life).

Just like what Japan does with exceptional Anime series (Cowboy Bebop, Trigun). Even though their ratings are through the roof, the broadcasting companies don't seem to like them.

And American broadcasting companies don't like really quirky, funny stuff like Police Squad. About 12 episodes and it was canned, even though it had really good ratings.

What is it with these bigwigs? I guess they don't have brains or a sense of humor.

The US sometimes gets it right...

Seinfeld, Futurama, That 70's Show, Everyone loves Raymond, Sledgehammer...

It's just the brits get it right more often...

While it may be going a bit too far, I'd put "Arrested Development" in your list. Haven't seen a fluke in the 30-something episodes I've watched.
