A lot of people who are not racist, say racist things.
I can recall my Dad, when something was obvious or simple saying "Any 3 year old n***** aviator would know that". Maybe this came from serving in the Army Air Corps. It was just a saying and we though nothing of it back in the 60's. I can recall the corner candy store selling "n***** toes", small black licorice pieces.
Point is, no one meant any harm, but they were still very wrong.
BTW...... peace Mr. B.
Exactly no body saw any harm.
Unless ofcoures you happened to be black.
Oh I see your point MT things have changed and things will continue to change as society no longer tolerates that kind of behavior it is just taking time for the hard core to sorry to say die off and be replaced by a more tolerate generation .
And believe you me I here the "N" word all the time here in Texas.
It is a household word down here.
LOL my mother who works with a black lady and is friends with her very good friends as a matter of fact.
But sometimes in disscussions she will slip and say something like hey did I tell you about my N****R lady friend?
It seems to be a product of that generation and perhaps economical class because my father in law who was an engineer with conoco for many years and who holds many advanced degrees never uses that type of slang when describing someone of color and he is in Oklahoma.
So from what I can tell poor or middle class southern white people brought up in the times of our parents are more likely to use the "N" word that those who are more educated.
Which in my mind just proves that indeed racism is a product of ignorance.
