Your post is just as dumb as always, you actually seem to think that the popular vote has any relevance on the election of the president.  You can look up how its really done by reading the constitution..

BTW what info do you want me to send and what would you do with it?

it is not a military dictatorship in that, though the commander in chief is in charge of the military, he is for all intents and purposed an elected civilian with the power to direct the military.

i might be mistaken, but i believe that he holds no military rank and has less top secret clearance than some in the military.

it is also not the military which is policing the united states, though that has become a danger with some of the provisions of the patriot act.

and if you were to have reread my post you will note that in response to holdens observation, i clarified it by explaining that  it was the lawyers who blocked the recount at every avenue and took it to the supreme court to decide it rather than face an actual tally.

several independent organizations have done thier own recounts of the 2k florida vote and gore had more votes...

ergo....

gore would have won under the electoral college vote.

though he'd probably like it to be.

Nope, recounts done by major news organizations show bush winning...

Here, the evil right wing rag known as the New York Times sums it up nicely..

http://www.nytimes.com/2001/11/12/politics/12VOTE.html?ex=1105592400&en=2cc4e9dd902fc018&ei=5070&oref=login

They only say that gore "might" have won if all sorts of bizzare rejected and unclear duble votes were counted in the whole state...

And the article is expressly clear that the recount stopped by the SC eventually showed Bush the winner.

So to sum up.

Bush won in every reasobale recount scenario that was fully completed and in every such scenario that was eventually completed. Gore "might" have won if an extremly loose and subjective method was used to count - but even then only "might."

Sorry to bust your bubble JB...

not burst.

but i disagree.  read the vanity fair article.
i'll have to find the date for you.  a few months ago.

your link was written in 2001.  several organizations have done counts since that one and if i recall, there were problems with the initial media recount.

none the less.  one way or the other.  it aint a mandate.

sorry to burst yours.
