Charon, that bugs me more than anything- people taking advantage of a stigma attatched to kids who did their best to do the right thing and they're ten years too young to have participated.
That stigma, tho, was also perpertrated by the media for years- how many stories said "So and so, a
Viet Nam Veteran , was arrested for..." , thus adding significance to the Viet Vet part?
Studies show Vets are pretty much in line with the rest of society when it comes down to the best, and worst, we can be, which makes sense since the military is a cross section of society.
To blame sociopathic behavior on wartime experiences is flat out wrong, and to charge the military with culpibility in discharging someone who is sociopathic is...stupid. He was sociopathic when he joined.
