How much do they weigh?

Tell us how they taste if you eat them, It seems like a shark that lives and feeds in your river's would taste very bad, probably tastes like filled baby diapers and beer cans.

Just kidding, but I am curious as to how you cook them and how they taste!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Dont rightly care if they would or not. I do

didnt know the family frequented these boards

Politically correct Im not.

Part of the problem with this society is we worry too damn much about somebody being offended over something.

You ever seen the pic's of Hemmingway shooting his tommy gun at the sharks in Bimini?  One thing for sure, ol Hemmingway didn't like sharks, and neither do I.

Politicaly correct has nothing to do with it.  It`s called being a human being.
The chances of her family visiting this board is slim. The chances of someone being on these boards that have lost a friend or family member in a similar manner is very high. That`s the point.
The problem with society is not what you stated. The problem is parents who do not take the time to teach and instill values, respect for others, self respect and most of all just plain ole common sense. You are prime example of the end product.

shark is damn good if cooked right.  it holds together on a grill and doesn't flake apart when flipping.

I always trim off the skin  before cooking.  if you don't sometimes you get a nasty flavor that develops.  it's very faint and kind of ammonia like, my guess is it's something similar to the adrenaline taste you get if you shoot a deer or an elk when they have been panicked and running.

if you spray the steaks with a little lemon juice (I use a spray bottle on fine mist) before you put them on the grill, a foam like grease will rise out when it's almost ready to flip.  if you push that off the edge before turning them it will remove almost all of the 'fishy taste' from the meat.  a couple people I know who don't care for fish but were willing to try it said they liked the shark cooked this way because it didn't have the taste that they avoid fish for.

it also holds together well for batter frying small pieces.

IIRC it's less than 4% fat, very high protein meat.

thats correct.  It's also a very good idea to gut it and clean it out quickly after landing it.  I find that by doing that you eliminate some of the slight fishy aftertaste some species have.  My favorite is Mako but they are all quite edible.

Someone caught a 140 pounder on rod and reel just last week. Fish woulda been a world record, but he spent all day searching for certified scales that would handle it. Fish dehydrated and lost about 10 pounds plus he never found the scales.

Think he got it just off the interstate at the I-20 bridge over Logan Martin.
