Do you like it? I doubt that the client matters at all, but I use Azureus.

I've noticed that the downloads aren't always constant or consistent. The speed ramps up and then falls off. Hosts disappear and then reappear.

Do you share your torrents? From what I've read, I get the impression that you gain speed by sharing.

Ya know.....with Bit tornado I get more speed if I limit uploads to as slow as possible.  Odd that.

That makes sense. I limit my upload to a maximum of 20kb/s and limit each of the files to a maximum of 4kb/s.

I limit uploads to 4 max at a speed of 3.5k/ps.....total.

Doing this gives me a 200+k/ps download speed.  If I leave it on automatic (ie unlimited upload) then I get around 50k/ps on download.

Which I find odd.  You'd think whoever designed this would encourage people to share more and not limit uploads by ensuring upload/download speed is proportionally related.......rather than inversely related at it seems to be for me.

I can think of some fairly compelling legal reasons why someone wouldn't wish to share. Nature of the game. Blame the lawyers.
