13th Tas
« on: January 18, 2005, 07:53:29 PM »
Disbanded due to real life and squaddies who just aren't having fun anymore.
I personally still think the game is a hoot and 2 of my kids, one 25 one 12 have taken up interest and have thier own account so watching them learn is to say the least , historacal.
Training Corp are fantistic with newbies by the way

Anywho some of the guys have migrated to larger---------------------- less talented ----------squads so as not to be flying solo most nites. I'm glad they did cause not having fun leads to quitting and these guys are a select few of the remaining vets that AH needs.

Some of our core guys like Rude, Toad, Beemer have unfortunately gave up the ghost . They were a large part of the glue for TAS and someday I'm sure they and the 13th will be back.

cyas up:)

The 13th was and always will be a squad I admired.

You guys always loved to mix it up and valued  "the fight" more than the kill. Very respectable bunch of guys here.

I know there is a place for you here with the Blue Knights Sax. So if your lookin for some guys to fly with, I hope you take Levi up on his offer which I'm sure will stand indefinatly.

Sad, but no surprise - the part about not having fun any more.

Does anyone still doubt that gameplay is more important than graphics?

For my £ the gameplay needs a purpose above and beyond being a theatre for wannabes to show off their Spit V prowess.

How much longer before TOD?

Glad to still the majority of you guys in the game.  If any of you still talk to Toad, let him know that I hope he is feeling better.

Beetle Not everyone who left the game did so as a result of disliking its game play.

I'm sure you are very aware that real life situations can have an affect on if we are able to play as well.

I was lucky enough to work around mine and am still able to play as a result. I enjoy this game very much. As much as you will flame me and many others for how we play and fly, I really dont care. (btw I could teach you a thing or two about cherry picking and wingman tactics) so dont just say we're all furballers and nothing more as you have in the past.

Game play is a big part of the game. Hell, it is a game after all. You either adapapt to the changes or move on. But like I said, not everyone who moves on did so because of the evolution of the game.

A big guys.

IMHO 13th TAS was the gold standard of AH sqauds.

(Relax FDB's, you're still the Golden Ale standard)
