Ok here is the mission map....

Here are the mission guidelines.... I hope everyone will follow these to make the mission fun.

The red circle is where the B24s will roll from im thinking 500lb bombs and 50-75%fuel.

P51D escorts roll from the nearest base and escort the bombers. Escort means protect the bombers not run off and dogfight once the axis are spoted.

The yellow box is where the bombers and escorts can fly.

The blue box is where the axis fighters may fly untill the allieds are spoted.

The light blue circles are the targets that the bombers may hit. They can hit just one or choose to hit multiple targets.

Mission will roll around 10:30PM EST.

Bombers Alt 20-30K and escorts atleast 5K higher

Im going to need two allied C/Os one for the bombers and one for the P51 escorts.

Im also going to ask any CT CMs that are going to be there to turn off ALL radar 5mins. before the mission rolls to make it realistic.

I hope many people can make this mission and follow the guidelines. Try to get as many people you can to join. For all those that join the mission thank you.

Good plan TK.

I will be there with my trusty B-24's. (Gettin the 322nd itch again! :D )

If I am going to be running controls why don't you be bomber commander. I will XO for you. Slash or Duke can head up the Fighters if no one else wants to.

Would there be any objection to disableing the ME 262 & ME-163 and adding the ME-109G-10 & FW-190A-5 for the duration of this mission?

Comment Please.

Good suggestion, Jester.  Truekill, I don't believe turning off all radar would be a good idea, or even realistic.  Rather, I'd suggest limiting radar range to 25 miles tower range, 50 for bar-dar, and full friendly radar on.  The Luftwaffe had a very sophisticated ground control system by this time in the war, and their interceptors were generally aware of location of other friendlies (though with some uncertainty due to technological limitations).  Just my suggestions.

If I got to sit there in a B-24 you are going to have to work for it if you want me buster.  :D

Nothing like hurling yourself head-on into the teeth of a massed bomber formation. It's where you seperate the "Furballers" from the pilots with actual skill. I dropped 3x B-17's in one pass with the 190A-8 in my JG-54 days. I wouldn't want to cheat you out of that experence. ;)

Just grit your teeth, tighten your leather thong up another notch, think of Storch in the nude, push the throttle up to the windscreen and DO IT for the Fatherland!  HORRIDO!:D

good over 40 ppl showed up bombers took out 24% or the radar fac and 8% of the City it was kinda lopsided though 22 190A-8s and about 18 allied i think stream said they took off with 5-6 escorsts so thats like 11-12 B24 formations at 28k

I haven't gone through all of my film yet, but here's a couple of screenies...

It sure was a lot of fun. I don't think it was llopsided at all... it felt just about right. As it was, the Luftwaffe tore into us pretty good... any more on their side and probably nobody would have made it to target.

to all who played along. :)
