Anyone want to play a PBEM or TCP/IP game?

I've never played another person, so I'll probably get beat pretty hard, but I think the game is pretty fun.

I've got all 3, but I've never played CMBO, hell, I haven't even installed it yet.

Anyway, I'll be around all day.. if someone has a free day TCP might be the better choice, if not I'll happily try to get a PBEM going.

Unfortunatley my PC is awaiting a new Power Supply.

I'll play ya when I get her back.

Awesome Nef, looking forward to a right asskicking lol.

I suck so bad at CM, but it is SO much fun.

Was playing CMAK, "Line of Defense" scenario.. busted into the town alright, then ran into the Tiger sitting outside the town on the other side.  3 Shermans, 2 M10s, a Stuart, and a Greyhound later, I'm all out of armor..

Friggin Micheal Wittman in that bloody Tiger...

Had a great deal of fun watching my tanks do a Chinese fire drill, falling all over themselves to get out of the Tigers way.  So that was worth it anyway lol.

Sandman, the CM series is a wargame..  CMBO is Combat Mission: beyond Overlord (NW france), CMBB is Barbarrosa to Berlin, CMAK is Afrika Korp (Africa and Italy).

Great deal of fun to play, the website is here

Tis a great game, a little frustrating at times.

It is interesting what airpower can do it that game, recentlly I was playing CMBB, one of the early operations where the Russians were attacking the Germans, was kickin the AI butt when low and behold the AI gets air support 2 Stukas dive bomb and strafe a Battalion size attack to a standstill.  By the time I got my units regrouped and got morale back to decent level,,, battle over.

In one pass with the Stuka droping one big bomb (not sure what size) and 4 100kg bombs 4 T-26s 3 BT-5s and 2 armored cars either destoyed immobilised or abandoned, granted the crews were green but seemed a bit much.

Air Power can be a little Gamey IMHO.

I was playing a huge Hot seat CMBB game with a friend in Pittsburgh. Meeting Engagement on a large Map.

The Main Flag was an Obliterated village, I was Ivan, and I had a huge force of Armor, IS-2's T34/85's, KV's. I split my force into three main units, two flanks and a Central Force. He had a road leading into the Village, and would have it first.

I had a 210mm Rocket Spotter moving with the main group in a M3, In the first couple turns, here comes a Fw190F and blows it up in one pass.

My plan was to shell the Village, then Human Wave it from all sides.

Needless to say the battle turned into a Bloodbath for the Flag, And although I won a Major Victory, My Infantry and some of my Heavies were wasted because of one Wurger with Satellite Guided Munitions

I have CMBO, but I don't think I'm good at it at all.  If I had money I'd buy the other two in a heartbeat.

When Bodhi?

So far ive played, Sirloin and Suave. I beat Suave Once, but lost to Sirloin twice or three times.

So still looking for a rematch against him or Suave, It seems like I'm always on the short end of the stick against Mr Beef.

The First game I was the Germans Meeting Engagement 1942 (Bad setup from the Start). With No Armor or Vehicles I advance to within 100 Meters from the objective, He had an Early KV Tank and a Bulletproof Yugo! (A small 4 Wheeled Armored Car, BA-10?). I hit that little Green gun at least a dozen times with an Anti Tank Rifle I had. Needless to say he held the objective.

Then another game I play as the Romainians, He Had IS-2s, I had StugIII's and Panzer 4's.

All were great games, but I always get poop units. Now when I played Suave recently, I actually had an ok setup. And managed to pull off the victory.

I really dont have that much time against a human opponent but Its definatley one of those games, where every battle you learn from your mistakes and gain experience.

Nef,

I am the same as Urchin, never played a human opponent either.

But hell, lets play German's vs the Soviets say early 44 or late 43.

Pick your side.  I'll play the remaining.  Medium map though.  Armour / Infantry mix.

I really want to try CMAK, but will play any game, Late 43 in CMBB is really the best time to play. Besides, I need some practice for ROW.

Tonight sound good? I get off work at 8PM, but like to chill out and get a shower before I do anything else? How bout 930 or 10EST?

What time is best for you?
