skuzzy was accurate in his statement in that i was not "banned".  i was blocked.

in my view that is a matter of semantics but means to me essentially the same thing.

yesterday afternoon i called him and we had a good conversation regarding the matter.  it ended well and i found that i was again allowed to post in this forum shortly thereafter.

it was nice talking with him and give me a perspective that i might not otherwise have had.  he listened and was receptive to my opinion as well and i hope that he gained a bit of insight into me that is hard to guage based soley on text.

it was never my intention to spark rage.

i have debated about whether or not to jump right back in where i left off but the thought occurred to me that i havent really "enjoying" myself so much lately as i have been feeling a constant urge to rip someone to shreds for something that they have said.

it occurs to me that like a yawn or a sneeze, anger is contagious.

a sickness.

i think that we need a general quarantine and a serious rage check here across the board.

i think that those of you who feel that personal insults are going to change minds or earn respect might reconsider the value of that philosophy.

in artful and useful conversation i think that it is imperative that we do not personify the issue at hand in such a way that we no longer listen or care about the rights of others to have an opinion.

we should cherish our ability to change our minds rather than stiffling it.  one cannot grow without doing so can they?

name calling is a bit childish wouldnt you agree?

disrespecting anothers right to an opinion is a bit totallitarian dont you think?

desiring that those who disagree with you should be silenced is a bit selfish isnt it?

i am guilty of some things, ill admit that.

can you?

i would like to request of all of us that we try to keep it civil around here.

we are adults.  lets act like it.

thanks.

That is really none of your concern Dud.  The issue is resolved.

Nice post 88.

You're not allowed to know. One day, if you're persistent, you'll say the same thing and then you'll know.

Or just post within the forum guidelines and never be concerned about it.

Good post, especially those last two points.

I have nothing but high respect and admiration for Skuzzy. He is the epitome of Moderators, a doer of deeds, fearlessly goes that extra mile. He should wear a cape with a BIG HTC on it *sorry Skuzz but all the capes with S were already taken* and skin tight leotards and a mask...with flames.

 :aok

Skuzzy when are you gonna sign my adoption papers?

You do realize that your response to every single one of my posts is a personal attack, right Mac? Not that I care - it's tantamount to an itch that I can't locate - but...

I dunno, you're like the last dude I'd expect to see singing the virtues of Scuzzy when it's obvious that you don't respect his rules, and by extension, him.
