OD and Gray P38 Profiles for those who want em
« on: January 21, 2005, 04:21:20 PM »
Started going through the books and getting the scanner working.

4 OD and Gray J models pre J-25 so no dive flaps, boosted controls etc.

First two are 370th FG.  These guys were flying ground attack with the 9th AF over France and Germany.  Absolutely the toughest 38 job out there.  I've been reading their history and it's amazing.

Third is the OD J of 80th FS Headhunters ace Jay Robbins.  This is a 5th AF bird.

Fourth is also a 5th AF bird from the 475th FG.

If folks decide to use em and want more detail, give me a holler.  Thought this might at least give some ideas.

Still looking for 367th Kev

Hey Guppy, do you have any more pictures of "Margie II", especially noseart?

OK so I didn't go to sleep right away.

This is the best shot from the 370th FG history.

So much for sleep eh? Story of my life. :)

Excellent picture!

What is that painting/metal looking thing on the far right above the lettering but under the red box there?
