Jamusta's Start of something great isn't finished yet.
« on: January 22, 2005, 01:47:51 AM »
Jam we have to talk bud. Your wonderful idea got jacked by the SIM City killing croud. This one will with out a doubt end up the same way.

I'm thinking massive missions of La7's, Spits, and o what the heck, NIKs too. All light, but with plenty gas to wreck, bust, exploit the hordes of bomb dropping arm chair generals. Now the plane set for this is simply utilitarian. And designed to recieve the maximum output of whines posible from the opposing forces. Keep in mine that this isn't just a hrode of La7's spits and Niks now. Oh no.
This is, and will be a highly organized fighter sweep, containing scouts, wings ect. Once a horde is found, or a mission is spoted, we will attack!!! Furiously. Swiftly. And hmm can't think of any other words that end with ly. Oh yeah, dweebishly. :)

I think there are many more who feel the way Jamusta and I do. If your one of these fine gentlemen then dont sit in the foreground while your land is taken away from you!!! FIGHT!

Organised a sweep like this about a week or so ago.  Ki84s, about 12ish of us.  Wnet into a sector inhabited by only 20K Reds.  Needless to say we chased them right back to their base.

Jam you were in on that one weren't u?

LOL, actually I'm pretty sure u were.  I advertised it as a horde buster mission but upped us at the wrong field.  Luckly (Heh, I use this term loosely with the ever present horde mentality), there was another horde just next door that we could hassle.

hey... what a blast.. climbing to 20 k and chasing a horde back to their base.

I might do it if the horde was at 5 k or less.   Or... there was absolutely no fight anywhere on the map.   The last couple of times I have been up tho there has been some good low alt furballs

Many more would know that this exsists if it weren't for the cluster **** of a thread that the idea started in. As it stands now, some are about to get their rulers out and really show the world what kind of men they are.

I wouldnt say 20K is the alt needed for this kind of thing to be sucessful either. Thats just me though.

We'll see how it goes. I feel sorry for Jamusta for the simple fact that his thread was taken away from him by others who do not accept his flying or style of playing the game. It is out of their inability to accept different things in life, that the thread turned into what it did. :)

I say beat fire with fire.  The anti-horde crowds should grab the most expensive perked plane they can afford, grab to 25k alt in it, and engage in slashing BnZ attacks against the enemy hordes.  I'd like to see any number of N1Ks try to chase down 15 262s.  Mayhem.

Or not.

can you launch 163's from any field?   Might be a way to use tempests too...  good idea lev.

Ok.. I will do it if someone else gets it started and I can concentrate that long.

You can only use 163's at a given field near the HQ Lazs.

I dont know if many remember the missions's of 262's Wax used to roll but their design was to beat back the horde as well. I think the most jets we ever had was 30 in a single mission.

But its a great idea. The one drawback is perks. Not everyones got em. But I'm sure you could get a good number of pilots wanting to join and fly them again. If not, the La7 would work fine too. :)

Hmmmm....... I dunno.

I just dont let the toolshed killers wreck my fun I guess.  I was only in the MA for a couple sorties last night after multiple hours in the DA converting toolshed killers into ACM killers.

I had fun even though the hoard was rolling <---Shrug>

My approach isnt to destroy the hoard by some type of mission but to deplete it from within.  I find that if you teach people how to really fight they realize that they like it.  Then thier habbits online change.

c yas up.... Dave

Yeah my post got hijacked by some chest thumping. I do have away to please those that dont wish to climb to 20k. When I first started I would climb to 10k and hit the conga line at its source. The heavy guys were still climbing out and I wouls target them. I noticed thy would up spits and lalas to come shoot me down. Started a great furball doing that.

Nomak, we will let you defeat the horde from within one at a time for you are like Yoda and are very good at instructing in the arts of the jedi.

ROFLMAO   Let me just take this opportunity to say BS. :D
The Wax 262 missions were like the numbers on a thermometer only instead of degrees it measured the Wax Intoxication factor. They were not "designed" to "beat back" anything. The only thing that had to be "beat back" was the insane laughter from the rest of us sloshed pixel jockeys that flew in them. :D

Wax is sorta like when years ago my best friend ran off with my 1st wife. I sure do miss him. ;)

What happened to Wax?  Did he quit playing?

Anyway, guys, it looks like you're going to get organized.  Why not try to thump the BoPs on Monday night?  You all fly Knight, right?  We'll bring you some horde to fight.

lol, those last three sentences rhyme.

I'm in Morph. I spend 80% of my time at the bottom of a dogpile killing toolshed smashers.
