See what happens when  you kick the the crap aside and get down to business?

BTW, this was and still is Jamusta's idea. I just got sick of seeing the idea go to waste in the jacked up thread he started off with.

Oh one last thing. That sounds like fun shubie. I hope everyone decides to go with this. I know I'm in.

The one thing I've found that makes our "tool shed" killers vunerable is their lack of putting up blocking forces.  It leaves them vunerable to harrassment on their way to the target(s).  Virtually every sortie I fly is based on disrupting small missions into a field.  If I had a few more folks to fly with during the week they'd have much better results.

One fighter sweep at anywhere from 15 to 20k and another between 10 to 15k.  High cons will force a few to drop their ord and fight while the other cons will nose over slightly to the target. It basically pushes the main force down to the wolves at 10 to 15k while the now escort fighters get hammered by the higher sweep.

One thing that alot of people do that kills this kind of tactic is mulitple folks will chase one con.  In the end the mission people will have dragged 3 and 4 folks per fighter sweep and per con to the deck instead of just one person.  Even if the fighter sweep forces the "tool shed" guys to drop their ord we've accomplished the mission.  Then it'll just become another furball that so many people here want anyway.

If it were my choice I'd use 190 D9s, 109s, Typhs and Mustangs for the high fighter sweep.  I'd then use a mixture of Spit IXs, Spit Vs, 38s and LA7s for the medium fighter sweep.  This would give the high sweep speed, fire power, and decent maneuverability.  They could deal with virtually any high alt con whether it has ord or not.  It would also give them the punch needed to hammer buff raids at alt.  The 190s and 109s would compliment the Typhoon and Mustangs when working in pairs.  The medium alt sweep would do much the same with the LA7, 38s, Mk IX and Mk V.  The 190 paired with the Mustang.  The 109 paired with the Typhoon.  The LA7 paired with the Mk IX and the 38 paired with the Mk V.

There's actually a ton of pairing that can be done with other aircraft in the planeset but this would just be my choices initially.

The Wax 262 missions were like the numbers on a thermometer only instead of degrees it measured the Wax Intoxication factor. They were not "designed" to "beat back" anything. The only thing that had to be "beat back" was the insane laughter from the rest of us sloshed pixel jockeys that flew in them. :D

Wax is sorta like when years ago my best friend ran off with my 1st wife. I sure do miss him. ;)
