my wife and I have been doing that business since 1986 when it was called Amway.  she hasn't had a job since 1987.  we are emeralds with a very large organization that is global in depth.  As with any worthwhile venture this business is a tough row to hoe in the beginning.  Expect to work hard with little encouragement, much opposition and in fact no encouragement from many people but if you persevere the rewards can be substantial.  We make enough money to keep my wife at home and allows me to work 4-6 hours a day and take every friday off.  I own my own welding shop.  We were able to buy that shop and keep it afloat during the lean times because of the stability that we have with the Quixtar income.

We have not actually built the business (worked at it) since 1995 and the checks just keep coming every month like clock work.

It's better for you if join up with someone who is successful and is willing to help you.  Joining the right group is critical to your success.

Watch how tomorrow some tard will come on this site and start asking me to produce tax returns and come within an inch of calling me a liar.

As you probably already know I'm pretty much an idiot so my opinion is if this idiot can do it so can you!    Go for it and don't let anyone talk you into buying any products you don't like and will not use.

A lot of the horror stories come about because people with big hats and few cattle like to "help" others become "big" fast.  Wear a small hat and keep a close eye on your herd    the rest will take care of itself.

I remember when an "old highschool friend" i vaguely remembered in school wanted me to go out to dinner and learn about this exciting "venture" he was looking to do.  He showed me all these "successful and famous people".....purported Walter Cronkite and others are supposed big wigs in their firm...and boy, didnt they hide the fact it was AMWAY as hard as I could.

Good ole pyramid scams....

I laughed out loud, let him buy me dinner and told him to get a real job.  Last I saw, he was a rent-a-cop at the local mall.  Yay AmWAY!

The idea seems to be a good one..but im still researching it..

I felt it wasnt really liek ammway at all..

I thought Amway was somthn you ..bought all sorts of crap and store it at your house..then try to sell it..

quixtar-INA..seems to be just running a website that links you to other shops..ect?..right?

I was aproached about 5 years ago whne i was a sales manager at a country club..this guy wanted to hold a meeting ..so i was renting him the space..food ect...I told him..looks good ..bu ti wasnt in to it then...


3 weeks ago ..Im at Nordstroms trying to find a coupel suits...I strt talkn to thi solder guy..60's i think...He says..."I think you could do very well "...so...now after a few times talkn to him..him givn me all sort sof material.."most of it i would call crap...motivational speeches and stuff...(im not depressed)..they seem to all say..."Aim Hi!...MAke Goals....blah blah"

I have only briefly goen thru the websites....

Couple of pointers

Don't let anyone blow smoke up your arse.

You will need to sell product, that's where you make the most money.  once someone tries it they usually stay brand loyal the core products are that good.

90% of the people in the business are full of ***** listen to what they say but watch their feet and see what they do.

If you work it like would a part time job in about one year you will be making better than full time money.

most of the people that we sponsored (9 front line) quit.  3 stayed.  working with those three allowed us and one of them to become financially free.  the other two make some money but nothing to write home about.  I'll guess $6000.00 per year but at some point they gave up too soon.  from those three groups there is a tremendous depth that was unexpected but very welcome.  The one couple that is making money are diamonds and make wayyyyyyy more than we do.  I just ain't that ambitious and people are a pain in the arse after a bit so that's why we stopped where we're at.

In any event it's a great retirement plan.  like i said the checks come in every month.

If you see NORD1 online he started a few months ago.  ask him how he's doing.

amway or whatever it's called now makes most of it's money from sales and fees to it's "dealers" or whatever they are called.

the way it works is if you can sign up a bunch of people who each sign up a bunch of people who then each sign up a bunch of people you can sit back and watch the money roll in.

apparently those were IBOs (independant business operators) straying outside of the legal bounds.  It happens, whether you work for corporate america or whether you work on your own.

 I just took the time to sample read some of those complaints. Quixtar is a business not unlike many others.  Not everyone is cut out for self employment.  It takes hard work, many hours invested for few hours paying off.  you must be self motivated and be able to at human nature.

Quixtar is not for every one.  In fact it's for very few.  If you are one of those few then the success is hard to refute.  going strong since 1959 inspite of many abuses from disreputable IBOs and morons who think a six figure income is easy to come by.  I get a real kick out of a 30K a year guy telling me that 300K per year is impossible to earn.  I guess it's a matter of perspective.

Thanks for posting that humorous read from the FTC complaints.
