is there even a correlation between violent drawings and kids that go on murder sprees at school?

somehow I doubt it .... it's kneejerk BS reaction.... you don't even know if the two things have anythign to do with one another.....

Sooner or later people will have to come to terms with the fact that SAFETY IS AN ILLUSION

Maybe they shouldn't be forceing kids to goto schools they often don't want to be in.  This is often done because the school gets money for kids attending thier school.... if said kid is gettign nothing but negtive feelings out of school and you force him to go,  is he likely to snap ...?

There's proably as much correlation between that as drawing viloent images then acting them out ....

BS knee-jerk reaction .... based on not even on sudo-science.....

I'm sure you can find pleanty of kids that draw violent things that wouldn't hurt a fly, and others that would .... it's an indication of NOTHING

That means I should've killed quite a few students by now
Not to forget some random terrorist acts like blowing up ships, buildings, tanks, passenger jets, fighter jets, soldiers....
...Whatever a kid can figure up on the paper :D

Oh yeah.. the legos are a whole different story, I was quite brutal with the 'accidents' that happened to my lego personnel and objects!

I agree with Stuka.

And besides, I dunno how retarded you lot are but I know I never drew pictures, stick ones or not, of people being hung and stabbed when I was younger.

If nothing else happens to them legally, at least they will have got the fright of their life and will think twice about bullying again.  Cos although it doesnt mention it in the article, you can bet that is what had been happening.

ok, but then lets take it further.

lets attack the television and movie culture which sells and promotes the very same violence.

how is a kid doing it anywhere near as reprehensible as a stratosphere of violence raining down on them.

christ, talk to the kids...dont friggen arrest em...and if you are going to, then you better be ready to take it all down.

perhaps i should write a letter to da terminata.

Zero Tolerance. That's good ol' conservative family values at work. Counciling the boys would be a bunch of liberal hogwash. Lock 'em up and throw away the key!

There may be more to the story than CNN is putting up, but this seems like a SERIOUS overreaction on the part of the legal system. IMO.

What do you think the proper reaction would be for that Toad?  Drawing pictures of your classmates being stabbed, etc... and naming them?

We used to make these neat animations using a flat and rolled up sheet (pencil sized) so it looked like *****g when you moved the pencil back and forth.:D

That was the extent of our artistic escapades in school, and we woulda got in trouble for that if they'd a caught us.

But really, drawings can represent a death threat, I'm sure you've seen enough movies to understand that.  Drawings are not that much different from writing except maybe more serious (or respected) when violent themes are involved..
