Your anger stems from repressed feelings... maybe you should look into a male escort service? ;)

Sorry lazs, but if this happened as some here believe then it is wrong on many levels. I just don't buy the story.

ok... in the US then MLK is the only human being in the history of humanity that we see fit to honor.

Xmas is supposedly not about the birth of christ who may or may not have existed.

wearing black is a form of protest???

you know there another day, where if someone shows up wearing green they get pizza...

""The implication was that it was a sign of protest against the inaugural,""

so your all getting upset over something that may or may not have actually happened, but apparently the republicans are worse than gays when it comes to finding anything that might be considered a slight against them...

come back when theres definate confirmation that she wanted them to wear black as a sign against the inaugral, and not just as a "see how easy people are to bribe" or some other nonsense...

the teacher could have been rewarding them because wearing black in mourning for our country because this moron is being sworn in again, (so he can throw away more of our money, lives, reputation) shows that those kids are actually paying attention to their countries gov't.

I think paying attention to what those in charge are up to is a good thing, no matter how much this administration wishes we wouldn't.

Christmas is about the birth of Christ, who just about everybody agrees DID exist.    the disagreement is to whether or not he still does exist.

so we have Christmas, Columbus day, and we used to have Washington's B-day and Lincolns B-day before they were combined into Presidents day.

I don't think "just about everyone" agrees that christ existed.   I also don't think you would get away with a celebration of christs birth at a school or public building..  I also don't know of anyone who celebrates columbus day and in fact, most schools would go balistic if you tried...   Presidents day is not the celebration of any one man.

MLK stands alone in being honored.
