Iraq campaign: A stunning success!
« on: January 28, 2005, 07:21:04 AM »
Finally, the main objective has been acheived in the Iraq war.  After only 1200 or so dead US soldiers and a minimun number of civilian casualties, it has been announced, secretly, that a permanent US base will have to be established in Iraq.
The official story will be, of course to spread democracy and freedom.  Most of the public will accept this and as long as the main stream media is filtered properly, those who see this as the first objective in the New American Century campaign can be painted as paranoid conspiracy kooks.
We must thank the insurgents efforts for giving us the excuse or justifying the reasons for establishing this base, as the american public would never accept the cost, both financial and in human lives.  So lets give a great big Hoorahhh! to Bill Clinton, GW and Dick for thier fantastic strategical success in this first battle of WWIII!

How does one announce something secretly?  Or maybe it's secretly announced....

The plan was never to leave as soon as the election was over. The plan was to leave when things stabilized.

This could take years.  And it was told to us from the beginning.

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

Geez,  put on yer tin foil hat dude.  The mind beams have fried to the stem.
Lets see if I get this correct,  'We are going in to Iraq to establish a democratic election and we will leave when things stabilize, this could take years!'  'How about it, congress, Can we have $200,000,000,000.00 dollars for this?'
I seem to remember some WMD crap and a feeble attempt to hang the 911 thing on saddam.

Here it is in congresseze...

Quote
H. J. RES. 114
Whereas the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-338) expressed the sense of Congress that it should be the policy of the United States to support efforts to remove from power the current Iraqi regime and promote the emergence of a democratic government to replace that regime;

Whereas on September 12, 2002, President Bush committed the United States to `work with the United Nations Security Council to meet our common challenge' posed by Iraq and to `work for the necessary resolutions,' while also making clear that `the Security Council resolutions will be enforced, and the just demands of peace and security will be met, or action will be unavoidable';

Quote
H. J. RES. 114
SEC. 3. AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES.

(a) AUTHORIZATION- The President is authorized to use the Armed Forces of the United States as he determines to be necessary and appropriate in order to--

(1) defend the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq; and

(2) enforce all relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq.

If it secures us a stable Oil supply , I'm for it.

WhiteHawk, If you think that the U.S. is the only country that is out for themselves, you' need to fix your own tin hat.

The U.S. is sitting on or near the largest oil supply in the world, by taking out a ruthless dictator, and spending BILLIONS to do it, and you start crying that we HAVE TO GIVE IT BACK?

I say Bull****.......  make the base, grease the U.N. a little and they'll back us all the way.....   :aok

I hate to tell you but yeah that's pretty much how it was.

I'm guessing you never actually listened to any of GWB speachs or you would already know this.

Tin foil hat?! me thinks you don't really know what that means.

Well, there ya have it!  Did I ever say i was against this sort of thing?  Did I ever say that countries can hunker down and hope things work out for themselves?
I for one am for the afghani pipeline that will bring 6 trillion dollars worth of oil on the world market.
I for one am for the capture of muslim oil and making it christian oil,
I realize, as much as anybody, the importance of securing energy for the operation of our country, even if that means military activiity.
I realized, years ago, that the ultimate end to our country would be WMD's  smuggled into our cities via shipping, or more probably, drug smuggling routes established by N korean intel agents.
The aggressive campaing by the US, which started immedeiatly after the cold war, is necessary for the survival of our country and the worlds economic growth and ultimately, world peace.
The 911 thing was the 'pearl harbor' event to spark this war.  All i am saying here is that this is wwIII and its important that some of us can see it as its happening.
read my opening post again and tell me where I went wrong?   The first objective is complete!  Whats next?  Iran?  N Korea?  Will Russia nad China sit by and watch from the sidelines?  How about pakistan?  They are certain to have WMD's and Al Queada maybe even Bin laden himself?
  Exciting stuff Hunh Mosgood:D .

Sorry mighty1, I was listening to the liberal media again and they said it was WMD's.  Hey, in fact i did listen to GWB's speaches and he said WMD's too???
Yea, the tin foil hat protects the moist part of the brain from the extremely low frequency beams that are constantly sweeping through our atmosphere.  The beams, probably are just calming beams, but I dont want to take any chances.  They may very well be 'keep em stupid' beams. You can see them on occasion, sweeping through the clouds from east to west from a satellite slideshow.
