2.02 connection issues

I just dowloaded and installed v2.02 and plane cache but after i hit the online button it wont connect the timer just keeps going in both normal and alt route. Was fine yesterday, Well i guess its the price for progress no hard feelings of course. Any way im sure it will be resolved. a list of my setup is below in the case it is just me.


- P4 1.8Ghz
- Nvidia GeForce 2 MX 440 on 66.94 drivers
- SBLive
- 2x 64mb pc800 RDRAM +  2x 256mb pc800 RDRAM
- Win ME
- 56k modem

Sometimes after new releases or patches you have to 'Re-allow' the new version thru firewall. Could be that.
If not, time to traceroute or pingplot to see if something else is screwy.

Do you use zone alarm?
If you do then it's probably asking if you want to allow ah to run & it's hidden behind the game.
Try alt,tab to minimize game so you can click allow ah

No Zone Alarm-
No Firewall     -

Just tried to update 2.02 to 2.02 patch 1 and got a updator lock up and have the same issue again.

I bypassed auto updater by useing manual download which went ok but still have the same issue as before with the not being able to connect and timer just goes until alt route option appears which also is no good.

I have seen more updates and patches then i would choose to but my addiction will keep me trying just hope the frusteration doesnt get to me.

offline works but cannot connect to H2H either.

Im having the exact same problem. 01/30/2005 at 12:12 AM CST I was kicked offline and have been unable to get back into the game, each time it says the host timed out and asks me if I want to try the Alt route, which doesnt work either. Ive tried getting back in at least 50 times.  I have the 2.02 patch 1 and it was working fine untill just after midnight.

Update. I redownloaded the patch at http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/AH202T2021.EXE  and am now able to get back into AH2

FBFate, I looked at your trace route and the problem is showing up at the first hop, which is your computer, or your Internet connection/ISP.
At least, that is what is showing in the trace.

Are you behind a router?  Might try power-cyclying it.  Check your system for spyware/viruses as well.  Speaking of which, are you running an anti-virus program?  If so, shut it down and try reconnecting.

I appreciate your hard work and devotion skuzzy.

I have all virus software off, no firewall and no router.
and none of these issues occured until v2.02 was installed and no other changes have been made on my computer, which leads me to believe that it is caused by aces high. I just got finished useing xoftspy,spybot, and adaware no problems were encountered and they are all up to date.

Following the instructions Pyro posted concerning copying the debris.wav file into the sounds folder, and reloading, relaunching the AH2016T2021 patch solved the problem for me.

I got on to main arena for approx. 2 min and lost udp.

I guess its a start. atleast i was on 2 min :)
