Otto,

If you are going to flame someone you can atleast spell their name correctly. Both he and Estel are men of honor and I have a tremendous amount of respect for them both. So please, from 1 Marine - don't start ****.

Thanks :) But I'd rather stay here for a while, there is a serious chance that I'll be arrested when I'll step on American soil :(

Wolfala, thank you, but I am no more then a drunk irresponsible Soviet engineer (this remark is for Genozaur ;))...

BTW, I studied at "Physcs and technology of explosive and impact processes" department in MSTU, and worked with explosives and other funny things until 1994. What should I write in a new American visa form? They probably track all the students from my department, and I always prefer not to lie, is there a theoretical chance to  get a visa for a person who will honestly mention his experience with explosives?

I am asking only because it's interesting, I don't plan to apply for American visa in foreseeable future.

If you decide to visit - u just write the truth as it is. And they'll ask for character witnesses and all that fun stuff - and i'll call a few guys at DOD and the men with the black suits will come in and bla bla bla, you'll be in Las Vegas next week.

Boroda, I am a sober senior engineer who promoted himself to the rank of designer general during cooperative years.

Don't worry about your experience. It'll have great impact. But not before you answer the  unbelievably "soviet red tape" questions kinda party apparatchik could only ask. You have to tell if you were, is (or will be ?) a member of the communist party, movement, or other connected to the party organization; you have to honestly confess that you are an anarchist, trade union activist, child molester and all the above combined. And, after you confess to heavy drinking while flying a plane, they will let you in.
