I open a film, play it, and it runs smoothly until guns start to fire in the film. Then it locks up I'm forced to close it. Any ideas what the problem is?

I had the same problem when I tried to watch Nomak's film about the overshoot.  everything went fine until :53 seconds into the film when he fires - totally locked up.  I had to Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart the computer because verything else was frozen.

Of course not being the brightest bulb in the box (as well as wanting to see the film...) I tried it again a 2nd time - the exact same thing happened.

On the 3rd try - wait! Do you really think I'd be so dumb as to try it again after what happened?

Well, I did, and it all locked up again.   There were no further attempts to try the film or the film viewer after that.  Is this related to 2.02?  I never had it happen before, but then again I never tried to watch this film before either.

Think this happens to everyone, well atleast everyone I have talked to. Once you get hit sprites in the film. Poof it locks up. I am going to assume HT is probably already investigating this issue.

Sled I think there is a support group for that problem. I went to one of their meetings but no one showed up. Personally I think they were all next door at the Strip Club
