Search Assistant Toolbar
« on: January 31, 2005, 10:36:13 AM »
Ok, for the past month or so I keep getting this "Search Assistnant" on my toolbar with XP. I can right click on toolbar, and deselect it ... which I do. But I dont want it there, and cannot figure out what happened to have it appear there. Ive cleaned up my programs, removed all that shouldnt be, but it persists! HELP! :)

Thanks.

No error message on homepages thankfully. I'll poke around in tech forum, thanks.

What kind of Antivirus/spyware programs do you use.

I just had a major attack and It was my own doing at that.

Adaware and Spyboy Search and Destroy are only the tip of the iceberg, when it comes to great programs.

Look into Trojan Hunter 4, Its a Free 30 Day Eval Demo, TDS-3 Pro is another great Free program. Stinger is another great one, and the one that eventually led me to success. If all else fails get HijackThis, run it and dont delete anything save the logfile and show it to somebody who knows more than you do :D
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
