No way, I constantly use the wingman feature.  You have a problem with spies, so sad, but its your problem.

I'm Sikboy from the Shillelagh Squadron.

I use the wingman function a lot, especially when flying some someone from outside the squad. However, I like Shane's idea about a text buffer notification.

That would be TOB. :lol

I'm all for Shane's suggestion as well.

Test buffer notification is nice, but the wingman feature is not the problem as lots of people pointed out.

Maybe best would be to be able to switch your dot off when being under radar, if you want to. Like giving no position reps back to hq.

Other than that id like to see radio activity. So if enemys chat over range or channel radio it should show on your sector, something like a dar bar but indicating amount of enemy radio chat.

Other than that i fly in a fighter squad and i am damn happy if the base i fly to is heavyly defended, so i would be happy if my squad was spied on. Could think of nothing more boring than to take an undefended base.

LOL, first  I call foul to all who have replied that it is boring to attack an undefended field, or talk about fighting tool sheds and acks vs other real life opponents.......every one of you at one time or another has attempted to attack an supposedly undefended field. you might not do it now or do it any more, but there has been times each have tryed it. Is funny to see people claim they don't :lol

Now, after pointing that out, squads run missions. The mission may be a fighter sweep,  patrolling a sector, attacking strat targets, pushing back the horde, and yes even going after a base wether it is with alt or NOE........

and again most if not all have participated in each type.

I was pointing out that the days of trying to execute any NOE missions is a bust.......UNLESS you take about an hours worth of time killing the enemys radar all the way back 8 sectors deep at every field then knock out the HQ as well along with the radar strats......ok so you do this, you think you can now execute a NOE raid ( REGARDLESS IF THE FIELD YOU ARE ATTACKING IS DEFENDED OR UNDEFENDED <--------THAT IS NOT THE POINT THE POINT IS EXECUTING A NOE RAID/MISSION )

you still can not do it because of either people flying with 2 accounts or as some refer to it as SPYs.........and if any one was refering to my first post , well no I don't have a problem with them. No, I don't care if a base is lightly defended, moderately defended, heavily defended or undefended, if I am  wanting to go along with an attack or mission.  I am just suggesting to not announce your missions, do not post your missions, if your squad is organized you can roll at will and take the necessary ordnace, troop carrier, attack planes needed with out announcing it to everyone so another person could possibly report to another country.

btw NOE is designed to provide the element of surprise, regardless if none to 2 ,3,6, 10 planes are up flying at a base..the element of surprise is what is being denied, if you took 15 to 30 planes flying a NOE mission and came upon the opponents field in a flash, you have caught them, causing them to panic from the site of so many planes and have put the sense of panic into their thinking!

that is what my 1st post was in regards to......it was not about attacking undefended fields!  just wanted to clear that up!

"every one of you at one time or another has attempted to attack an supposedly undefended field."

Speak for yourself.

I never once willingly attacked an un-defended base.  Quite often the fight had dried up by the time I got there and I got to fly home with nothing but wasted time to show for my effort (stupid attention-starved people bombing FH's and such), but that's a different issue.  I think I carried bombs on my P-51 maybe once or twice in several years of playing AH and don't think I ever hit anything with them anyway.

If you want to attack undefended bases, you can always do that offline and save yourself the subscription fee.  I applaud people who try to force milkrunners to fight, regardless of the means they use.

with your never once willingly reply, I guess you never participated in a NOE mission either.......be proud you are one of a very few...........

if I understand your last comment you are refering to me as a milkrunner, and think I want to attack undefended bases.........your assumption of me is out in left field lost somewhere :D

btw what is your gameid?

I no longer have a game ID; I quit AH back in September when my particular favorite ride became too much of a hassle to try to find available in the MA.  I still read the boards and keep track of the game's progess in hope that one day I'll find it worth my time again.

I participated in several NOE raids, but never against an undefended airfield.  There is a huge amount of fun to be had when you plow into a furball at 200 feet AGL and 400 MPH.  I avoided sections of the map that lacked enemy activity like the plague.  If I couldn't find a decent fight, I'd log off sooner than attack an undefended base.
