Name Your Dynamic Duos...
« on: February 01, 2005, 10:19:27 AM »
Which two (or more) guitar players have you heard together in collaboration, either on stage or on a recording, that you thought were awsome.   Give Names, song title(s) and recording session or album name, please.      And please folks, NO CARTOON CHARACTERS.

Someone else may wanna start a thread for single artists.

 I'll start with two such that are among my fav's:

1. Albert King w/ SRV: "Matchbox" from their album "In Session";

2. Santana w/ Eric Clapton: "The Calling" from "Supernatural".

1.  Eric Clapton / Duane Allman - Derek & the Dominoes (save the first three songs on album Layla, the first three were just Clapton).

2.  Brian May w/ both Mick Ronson and Tony Iommi @ The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.

FWIW, I thought that Sammy Hagar's guitar was a nice complement to Edward Van Halen.

On the other hand, I still think DLR was a better front man.
