Most Europeen countries are preparing themselfs for the Birdsflu to hit. Germany counts that half their country will catch it and about 100,000-150,000 dead.

Sounds like a real disaster to me.

Is this similar to the 1918 pandemic "spanish flu" or whatever it was called?

I know it mutates rather quickly... is this some new radical strain?

Right now it can only go from Bird to Human, but they are waiting for it to mutate to a human to human type in a short future, we are talking maybe weeks.

I doubt it will be weeks, maybe little longer but we might see it in our lifetime.

Death rate is around 75% which is plain f....g scary, however with current information systems and ability to package food close to forever, you'll prabably end up with a situation where EVERYONE stays home for month or three..... it will play devil with economy and way of life as we know it....
