Lazs, it is way overdue that you learn to quote.

Okay... at the top right hand corner of the person who's post you want to quote, you will see an "edit" and to the right of that "quote" button.

Simply click that "quote" button, it will automatically create a new post for you, with the details quoted.

Cant have a public relations officer that cant quote ;) :D

I don't remember that, but I've been gone a long time.

I quit because I thought AHII sucked.

It was a dig at Beetle's amazingly poor powers of prescience, not at you.  The Spit V is, if anything, better than ever in AH2.

In what way? No more 800yd shots?

DMF! I don't know what changes were made to the Spit V. It wasn't one of my choices. Well it was - in WB back in 1998, but I moved on.

I'm just giving you crap because I love ya, Beetle... in a purely platonic way.  I recall before AH2 that you were excited about the prospect of the Spit V losing a lot of its appeal in the MA.  This has not happened, and while long-range shots are more rare, people just spray more to achieve them.

The AH2 MA feels a lot like the AH1 MA, though it sure is a lot prettier.

"Lazs, it is way overdue that you learn to quote."

That is the way I was taught to quote.   That doesn't work anymore?   I learned to spell from HT but I draw the line at quoteing.

 Awww!

No, I think what I meant about the Spit (and not just the V) potentially losing its appeal was to do with the FM having been changed in such a way for AH2 that it was no longer possible for the Spit pilot to attack a roping con by simply pulling vertical (helicopter mode) and then spraying directly upwards and getting hits at 700yds or more. This was addressed in two ways:
  • Dispersion altered so that those 800yd shots no longer work - or at least not the way they did in AH1, and
  • FM changed - helicopter mode withdrawn.
I did comment at the time that it was wonderful to outclimb a Spit in my 109F4 and get position directly overhead the bogey without him pulling that helicopter bullshirt. Those that tried that in AH2 stalled and wallowed, never got guns solution, and presented their own heads on a plate.

Quit with the inflammatory remarks. I WILL fly to England and stomp your guts out.

I never took those 800 yard shots with the exception of maybe an la7 that was fleeing on a nice level course.  My convergence never went past 350, as I recall.

Details on what I felt sucked later.

Have a nice day.

Personally, after the updates, I kinda feel, "AH2 should have been released this way".
