Thanx for all of the information on my previous question. I just installed the ATI 9600XT 256 DDR. To be honest, I didnt really see a major difference in my FR'S.... course I didnt have a whole lot of time to play with it. I used the ATI drivers that came with the card, but was wondering if I should try the Omega drivers. Also, does anyone have any suggestions on how to tweak the card. I am using a work computer now, so I dont have all of my system information. I do know that I have a P4 card, I think 2.4ghz, 80g HD, 512DDR. Anyway, any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.

OH YEAH,,... one more question.. How can I tell if my system can handle 1g DDR. I am running one 512 chip, but I have 2 slots. I think this would help a ton too.

Alot depends on your previous card and your monitors refresh rate. For example I have a Ti-4200 and get ~59 FPS in the tower at default. I have a X800 pro coming (newegg). The increase wont be much since its limited to 65 FPS by windows unless I change the setting then it would be ~85 FPS since thats my monitor refresh (I think).

Im betting the drivers that came with your card are not the most current, either. download the upgrade. I personally would stay away from Omega drivers. Been seeing posts about problems people have been having running this game with the Omega's.

don't try omega drivers until you try the newest cat....just DON'T install the control center...dont ask why just don't
