Let me just say if you're considering a move from Savvis please consider speakeasy.net out of Seattle.

I've have nothing but good things to say for them and their service. They've exemplified superior customer service since I first placed a DSL order with them. They've proactively followed up every single phone call I've made and hounded SBC to insure my order completetion. That's all just on a residential service level.

They also host Fileshack and many other gaming services both nationally and internationally. If anyone can be said to be a professional gaming service I think they have the claim and they're parked right on Level3.net.

No i don't work for them just thoroughly impressed with any ISP providing the level of service I've received.

I would have to agree, have heard nothing but good things about Speakeasy, especially towards gaming services.

Yes, I can vouch for their great service and cutting edge technology. It's these types of pioneers who set the standards in the ongoing battle for superior communications.

I swear by Speakeasy and recommend them for everything they sell to everyone who will listen to me. They really do have the best tech support around (no offense, skuzzy), and will go well out of their way to take care of problems most other companies would either ignore or just claim wasn't a problem. If AH were hosted there and having the problems it has with savvis there would be a tech spending all his time doing nothing but fixing it.

They also used to have the best damned internet cafe I've ever been to, but it burnt down three or so years ago.

Does anyone use Speakeasy for ADSL in the Silly Valley or T1 Business? I'm searching around for something with a fat pipe for our office to replace our existing ADSL from SBC - need it to run VOIP phones and such - not sure where to start or what is good. Looking to spend less then 1G a month.

Wolfala, I sent you an email let me know if it doesn't arrive for some reason. All I can say is they're the only ISP or telco for that matter who not only are willing to actually take notes on your account but actually give you up to the minute access on your account's notes online.

I can't count the number of times I've called in to someone like SBC only to call back later after having the suuport person say they would notate my problem in my account only to find no reference to my previous call. With speakeasy I can look through my notes online and I can see every call I've made to them no matter how trivial it may of been and what action was taken.

That just impresses the hell out of me, then again maybe I'm just easily impres..*gets distracted by a shiny bottlecap*

Ahh pellik, I have no reason to be offended. Glad to hear another company which tries to do the right thing.

The issue with Savvis is truly a problematic one. With Savvis being the second largest backbone in the U.S. and Sprint being the largest, it would be nearly impossible to get around thier networks.
Sort of like trying to drive from one side of a large city to the other and not being able to use 60% of the roads in the city.

I am not impressed with Speakeasy's way to show thier network map. You have to have ActiveX enabled, which is a bad thing these days. They should know that.

Hey, that works for my wife. Don`t knock it. The folks on the sidewalk get a little irratated, but what the heck.
