in this case, id say no.

it crosses my line anyway, and i dont recall hearing that he, or anyone else has asked for his forgiveness.

i just dont think that it is either wise or healthy for this country to condone and/or reward behavior like that without some serious inquiry.

I thought the campaign against the communists in Nicaragua was a resounding success?  I also thought that a US Congress filthy dirty in democratic control throughout the 50s (Korea), 60s (Nam) and 70s (Nam, Oil Embargo, Iran hostage crises) had made the position of the US fighting communism in the western hemisphere so difficult that the patriots of Freedom actually needed to break laws written by a democratic congress ripe with liberal communist supporters, a neccessity.

If my thinking is correct, and it is, then whoever the hell blabby88 is complaining about is without question, a Hero.

can anyone really say that this is a good idea?

i, for one would be happy just to hear one republican here say "bad move."  just one.

it might shed a little hope on the future.

:)

JB88, consider: this may be one of the most politically astute moves GWB ever made.  Abrams is probably one of the most able people available for just this kind of job, and he has certainly shown himself to be a loyal soldier, and has vast experience in Middle Eastern affairs. (examine his resume with a dispassionate eye for qualifications, if you can). Besides prosecuting his own world vision, GWB knows the time is right to further entrench themselves in every possible area of the Washington power structure. And a "pit bull", if you will, like Abrams is more a valuable commodity than  liability at this point. This facet of politics, distateful as it is, has been the forte of the Dems for generations. I'll say it again: for generations; Republicans just aren't as polished at it, yet.

jb88 is gonna have so many people on ignore that he will finaly get his wish and only read people who agree with his childlike and liberal little world... I think eventually he will be replying only to himself with a bunch of blank space in between.

oh well.... whatever keeps him from sucking on another cig (if he hasn't started again allready).

yes... that does pose a problem to jb's somewhat fragile stance and his even more fragile self honesty...  What to do about people who quote me in a post?   It is easy enough to pretend that he has been ignoring me (we all know this is not the case) but.... How does he pretend to not see the quotes?   And... if he admits to seeing the quotes.... How does he deal with it?

And.... how does one back down from the position of plugging ears and closeing eyes and yelling naaa naaa naaa naaa at every offensive post?

Glad I'm not in that position...

Does anyone think Bush would be dumb enough to get himself into this kind of mess?

it was a good one though.  ill give one word answer that.  (even though its a bit contrived, it is an interesting character.)
