It's sad - it was picking up nicely after Bremen and Braga stopped having creative input, as you say Chair.

They never seemed to get the ST ideal formula: scripts written by actual sci-fi writers, costume designers looking to show some skin, casting for guest actresses who could show off the costumes, and diverse characters.

B&B always seemed to be shooting for an adult drama that just happened to be set in the future.

I've been using my NetFlix account to see all the Voyager episodes again.  Currently on season 4.  So far, I think my favorite has to be the one where Tuvok has some brain anomaly and uses a meld to cure it.  Turns out, he's back on Sulu's "Excelsior"...its neat how they made that look as tho everything was timeless (despite quite a bit of time passed from that movie and the filming of the episode).  I think its called "The Meld" or something.

Only DS9 episode I liked was the time travel one with the tribbles.  DS9 didnt get good until Worf and the shooting started.  Before then, it was "Cheers" in space.  Snore.

I remember, but I was going to rent a video and was feeling too lazy to look that old thread up.

Season 5 BTW if anyone cares.

Despite the primitive special effects (by today's standards), and the stop-start dialogues delivered by William Shatner, the original series contained some of the best episodes of the entire franchise.

Can't remember all of the titles, but here are a few;

Balance of Terror

The Trouble With Tribbles

Mudd's Women...and..

I...Mudd  (Anything with Harcourt Fenton Mudd is a must-see)

Amok Time

Tomorrow is Yesterday

Yea!  "The Inner Light" was one of my favorite episodes.

The first time I seen it, I got all choked up when he started playing that flute at the end!  Powerful stuff!!

One of Star Trek's finest hours!
Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

Inner Light, and Yesterdays Enterprise were excellent.

I've always thought TNG's Season 6 Chain of Command Pts.1 and 2 were the best Next Gen eps. David Warner was excellent!

Add Deja Q, Descent Part 1, and the for mentioned Darmok.

DS9 improved markedly after Worf, and I've always been a fan of all the Voyager series, and TOS.

I had high hopes for the next season of Enterprise. This season is supposed to wind up with the forming of The Federation. Left a lot of room for some great battle scenes next season. Maybe we will see that in the next ST incarnation.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.
