FuelBurn Multiplier and WEP duration.
« on: February 04, 2005, 04:50:54 AM »
If the fuelburnmultiplier is set to 2 should the period of additive based WEP available to each ac be halved?

Obviously WEP management is also a function of the AH engine temperature management system.

I seem to REM that Pyro stated that additive based WEP was set at about 8 mins............. should WEP additiveburnrate  be  proportional to the fuelburnmultiplier

I don't think the system's set up for that

Because then in HTH rooms, for example, you would never turn WEP off with 0 fuel burn.

I think WEP burns and eng temps are independent, and to LINK them would cost tons of man-hours and thousands of lines of code.

Plus fuel burn is fuel burn. That doesn't affect engine temp. Just an artificial means to limit the ranges on an map where fields are so close to each other.

I applogise for not explaining stuff properly....... you will note that when the engine temeprature reaches the red WEP is disabled........... this is already modeled no need for more coad

Oh, no, I understand that. What I mean is that to link the temperature increment amount to the wep duration multiplier, and then link THOSE to the fuel burn multiplier would require a lot more coad.
