Spitfires are beautiful i must unfortunaly admit.

dunno.. dont really like the griffon spits apart from the XII and the bubble canopied versions.



Prettiest spits imo are the IX and V.

when they started to power up the spits, and then even worse started clipping the wings, thats when they lose what a spit is.

the Mk1 is beautifull to look at.

shes the mother of them all.


edit: good film furbs, and sad.

The Spitfire series really was the best prop fighter plane of all time, everyone knows it.

had the looks the moves and the sound.

and a very close second has to be the P38.

MkI is an ugly shapless blob of a plane.  The Mk9 looks pretty sharp and the later Griffon models are simply awesome - the Mk18 being a particular favorite. The G and K Bf109s are still much better looking though.

Spit best prop plane ever???? While I dont fly it,the History channel has declared the best prop plane in all round use the 51. I kinda have to agree with em.

i said in three catagories

looks moves sound.
