What is "silowet" group in 3d models?

found this in the "lrgrwy" 3d model.. wondering what that is used for? looks like a small version of the complete "lrgrwy" model - only about 1' x1'

Guess there's gonna be a lot of stuff to look for for while making new objects...lol

Btw - is there any standard naming conventions or standard LOD ranges that we should follow?
