Anybody used TIR1 and TIR3 ?

If so interested in hearing what if any differences you recall between them.

Currently have the TIR1 but do not use it much primarily because i find the pan at anything other than a slow head turn to be coarse/jerky. Do the newer versions improve on this ?

Gotta give it serious consideration as although i have no problems with hat views all the constant view switching is aggravating RSI.

I've only got Track IR3 with the vector expansion.

It's silky smooth. Have you checked under preferences that you haven't got "enable mouse snap views" checked?

Lol no its not that it just does not pan as smoothly as i would like unless head moved very slowly.

I only have a tir1, and it looks pretty smooth to me. Make sure your in game framerate is something over 30. If mine goes below that the head tracking movement starts to lag and makes me sick.

The tir2 and 3 have higher refresh times, and possibly higher resolutions (not entirely sure), so they should be smoother than the tir1.

You have GOT to get Tir3 with the VECTOR...there is no comparison.  Be forewarned, it isnt a cheap leap, $130 for the TIR and $50 for vector...but its like asking if its any better to use a joystick instead of a keyboard to fly.

I used a TIR2 and now have TIR3 (no vector).  Never used a TIR1.  But I can tell you TIR3 is noticeably smoother tracking than TIR2.  Also, it seems to have a wider range or tracks you better at the extreme edges than TIR2.  My TIR2 would occasionally lose me at the edges of its range (when checking six for example) and cause a momentary lock up of the view system.  That never happens with TIR3.  I'd say based on that alone (not to mention smoother tracking) it's worth it to go to TIR3.
