I feel ashamed to go to the self-help section of any library and pick up a book on how to bootlick. ;) :D

The sweetest thing any person can hear is their own name.  Spend the effort to remember peoples name, and use them, and you WILL make friends and influence people.

And for you cynics out there, it is not about manipulation.

The rest are in sales.

Well, ya don't gotta be so cheezey about it. How to Win Friends and Influence People? Who cops to that nowadays? Just have some gawdamned basic social graces.

Know who reads that book? People that watch other people's interactions, puzzled, and don't know how to pull it off on their own. It's a recipe for disaster.
