Cant remeber the name. It is a russian surface effect aircraft (thats as high as it can go)
the tubes on its back are Anti ship missles.
I believe they are the same missles as on the DDGs. SS-N-20s?

I think it was niknamed the caspian sea monster (there was a channel 4 documentry on them about a year ago in the UK) It isn't the next uberplane it's the first uberground vehicle in the 1960-1970 fantasy arena (i think it was 60's but it could have been 50's)

Actually the Caspian Sea Monster was larger. The `then' Soviet Union' Developed a number of Different WiGs (Wing in Ground effect) Vehicles.  The one shown is the Anti-Ship model.

Leave it to the Soviets to design a multi-billion Ruble aircraft that can't even fly.

Hmmmm I guess Howard Hughes the capitalist did the same thing.  LoL!

Looks like vulch bait to me.  HT, bring it on!  And give'm some Brewsters for escort.

It is an Ekranoplan, vehicles which, by avoiding contact with the surface, can travel much faster than traditional ships or land vehicles.  Ekranoplan promises vehicles with no obvious limit in size, which can travel five times as fast as previous large marine craft, hardly respond to rough seas, are untroubled by baulks of timber and other floating obstructions, and need no power to maintain height, riding at low altitude automatically maintaining a mean flying height.  The are a few problems to be overcome still, but the Russians continue in their research.

Since you have the data leonid,
What's the armament? SS-2N or SS-19N
Don't think it's SS-20N's plane ain't big enough
