Just dl'd RW last week.  I hooked it up to one of the public RW blather channels and it seemed to work fine.

Tried this weekend to run it with AH, and it sounds awful.  All of the guys sound like they are in a huge canyon.  Even my own voice playback sounds terrible.

I've got 2 soundcards running, a SB16 ISA and an Ensonic PCI.  I have primary (game sounds) output on the PCI, mike input on the PCI, and headphone (vox) on the ISA.  This setup always worked fine with Battlecom.

I tried to switch the mike input to the ISA card using ControlPanel/Multimedia, but it wouldn't let me de-select the PCI mike.

Btw, this is on a private squad server. I didn't tune the AH radio channel 5 to it, but I did enable RW in Setup.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

I'd look at your RW settings.  Have you tried both WAV and DirectX recording?  For hearing others, what CPU priority did you give it.  You should use High priority for RW to run properly.

Failing that... what happens if you run it all through the Ensonique card?

Looks like I fixed it.  I went into Device Mangler and disabled legacy emulation and some BS proprietary stuff, leaving just the soundcards and one game port.
