Joystick/Rudder pedals combination: advise needed
« on: November 06, 2000, 11:34:00 AM »
Hello,

Have been flying AH for an 5 months and come very close to purchase rudder pedals in order to improve the techniques. Well if it helps

I have MS SW PPro FF joystick -- do not have any intention to through it away   -- and would need an advise which pedals are preferable and compatible taking into account the joystick has the pedals simulated (rotation around vert axes). I found this inconvenient BTW.

Pls help if possible and any feedback about your experience is very much appreciated.

Regards,
Leon

Leon, if you are really enjhoying yourself and want to improve then you are making a good move.

As far as compatibility I am not sure but I use a set of CH products Pro Pedals and they work great!

You can find these online here

Leon, hoffman simpeds are what you want. They are the only pedals in the world that are compatible with microsoft sticks. I have an MSFF stick and use simpeds. I'll send you the URL to the website when I get home.

I have a sidewinder FF (game port), and a set of CH usb pedals, and they work great together.

I'd highly suggest getting a set of pedals. Just need to get used to not twisting the stick when you takeoff.

I use usb propedals, however hblair's been around a long time...make sure you get pedals that are compatable with your stick.

Can't say as yet leon, how they work, but i am getting Hoffman Simped digitals for christmas. $149 U.S. +$24 shipping for you i think, a bit pricey, but prolly worth it. I have the MS FFB Pro too.

Heyas

I use MS prec Pro (non ff) USB with a set of cheap TM racing pedals.  I find it abit difficult to be precise with the pedalsbut they work well enough for me.
I have the pedals and steerin wheel on the game port and the stick on USB.
