Check out the 37mm in the Yak9T and the Hurri IIc 40mm's as well.

I've been flying the Yak9T just to watch those pretty effects.

Hmm Kalisto and I just made a film with B24s getting blasted by the 30mm in the TA but I cant take screens of it because my film viewer is having isues.

Lemme see if I can post the whole film.

see that fire? it looks like just that but it is little burst tahts all it is. its almost impossible to get a screen shot of it because it is a very quick 2 second frame at most.

grun the film viewer is messed up when you hit someone it freezes up they are working on it.

Heh!  I was flying the 9T tonight and I think I only saw it once!  Damage is always delayed maybe a half to a full second before it registers on my FE.  So a direct hit shows nothing - then poof - plane disappears or explodes.  Wing hit or anything else takes the same amount of time. :(

Yea that black puff is part of it, of course its just a tiny second that its totally black. The rest is a small red/orange/yellow explosion then gray smoke. The coolest thing about it is how well it integrates with the new smoke effects of all hits.

Again, awesome work HTC!

I've only noticed that against La-7s. Usually it's instantanious explosion, or a large chunk falling off.

I've seen little puffs of grey and black smoke and small amounts of debris, is this what you guys are talking about?

No, its a much different effect. A fireball explosion and smoke on the target when the 30mm hits. This does blend very well with the effect.
