I just thought, perhaps, that the rate of fire on the cannons were a little slow.

303s are NOT useless...ive got around 20 kills this tour with them.

Are you sure you are missing behind the aircraft and not in front of it?  I know that when I switch to planes with nose mounted guns, for some reason I always start out leading too far.  Maybe if you are used to firing with 50 cals you aren't leading enough, I know that the 50 to hispano transition messes me up a bit as well..

The multiplier for landing is 1.25, not 2.  If you got 55 perks for dying, you'd have gotten 68.75 for landing successfully.

There is no multiplier for dying.  You're thinking of rank points, he was talking about perk points.

Sorry, you lose.

i believe it also effects perks.

i have gotten 2 kills in a 205 of seafires, died, upped again 2 more kills, landed and got more than .125 times perks....

the death gave me something like 1.9 perks the land (same planes minutes later) gave me like 7 perks.

i'll have to do a test on this in the MA in the next night or 2

JB73,

No, it does not.  If you'd like to test it that could be arranged.

Octavius,

That multiplier affects all perks gained, regardless of whether or not he dies or lands.

The perk multiplier for landing is 1.25.  In all other cases, ditched, killed or captured, you get the exact ammout of perks you earned.

my understanding is when you die you only get 0.5 the points/perks

when you ditch you only get something like 0.75

and when you land you get 1

but then i could be totaly wrong :)

The mossie can initially outrun the la7 in a dive, however unless you want to shed control surfaces you'll ease off the throttle, then the la7 will quickly catch you.  In level flight most planes will outrun the mossie with ease, the mossie is just a tad faster than the spits and n1ks so i would label the mossie as slow.

I would rate the guns above the 110 too, it can kill at distances and at angles the 110 doesn't stand a chance at.   I've never really used the .303s so i can't say about their effectiveness.  But with 4 hispanos i don't see the need of them.  The mossie only needs the briefest of opportunities to get a kill, kills most other planes would find impossible.

I have flown the Mosquito as my main ride once. That tour I managed to go 55/2 with it and 63/3 in various Spitfires, 24/3 with the Tiffie.... Hispanos are awesome. Point and click death rays. LOLOL, that was a 664/30 tour! It must have been someone else impersonating me.....

My only complaint about the Mossie is that rediculous flat, non-rotating stall it does.... A flight model flaw for sure.
