You're talking to ME about civility?
FYI - you showoff - I've been more than courteous to everyone that has left the Ghosts. I challenge you to present one written post or sound byte that shows otherwise. You, on the other hand, have always bothered me - especially when you jump in on someone's 1-on-1 in the DA or whine on the range channel in the MA or ***** at a fellow squaddy (a respectful teenager, I might add) for stealing that kill that would have finally put your precious K/D at 1 billion to 1...as if anyone gives a damn.
Hold the wire TBolt, you seem to be somewhat confused.
It's easy to deny the behavior on the =Ghost= message board when it's been deleted..... And that behavior came from just two =Ghosts=, you and Roscoroo. I didn't understand it then, and I don't understand it now. There was no animosity on my behalf when I left, it was just time for a change. In fact, it was overdue. I prefer a different style of gameplay.
I do recall your snotty attitude when several of us left. You know why we left, we all had differing reasons. As to showing one other example, well just look at your comments here. It was sufficiently obnoxious that HiTech had to edit it.
Besides, what you appear to be saying is that it's okay to steal a kill from me and I shouldn't have complained, but it isn't okay if I evaporate the guy you're jousting with, who is not even damaged.
I don't get it, our new squad and the =Ghosts= are not only polite to each other, we frequently fly and work together should we find ourselves in the same area.
Maybe you don't care for my over-aggressive style. Maybe you don't care for the fact that I'll speak my mind and not candy coat my opinion. I'm sorry that offends you, but get used to it, it's not going to change.
Your original post asked if the Mossie's gun were slow. No, they're not slow. In fact, this is probably the deadliest gun set in the game, but only if you actually hit what you are aiming at. Like the P-38, it's all or nothing, you either miss or you vaporize the target. Practice with the Mossie, you can't rely on the scatter effect you get with wing mounted guns. You need to be more precise. It's not unusual for people who rarely fly planes with nose mounted guns to need some time to adjust to the concentrated bullet stream, and the view forward in the Mossie isn't very good either.
Here's a trick some guys use effectively. In the forward view from the cockpit, zoom in using the Z and [ ] keys. Place the mouse cursor dead center on the gunsight pipper. Raise you seating position up higher for a better view, about midway between the glass framing. The cursor will go up with your head position. Now hit F10. That cursor is your new gunsight. Just don't move the mouse again. Yeah, it's a bit gamey, but it works.
Drop by the TA on Saturday evening. I'll be happy to provide a target so that you can get the feel for those guns in an environment where you can ignore everything else.
My regards,
Widewing
