Sportsmanship Alive and Well

yep, there are some real losers out there. a few winners with honor.  just last night i upped an la7 to combat these vulch and run smack talking idiots.  found a pony running after a few vulch runs, mind you many planes in air he could have been fighting.  i chase him down, first pass hit his fuel.  jumped by another pony who compressed into ground, continue chase.  he turns and HO's, dives, and chase continues toward a vbase.  fortunately he was not running to a bunch of friends, like usual.  skimming the trees he finally clips one and fight over.  really boring stuff, no honor at all, and is the norm in the MA it seems.

mind you, i would like my chances in a pony vs. la7.  he was 2k ahead of me.  it was 2 on 1 against me.   again, in the time it took him to run, and die, he could have fought, died, and reupped a new plane, and be 1/2 way to the base to vulch again.  if this guy had turned to fight, at least he could of walked away knowing he tried and had honor, instead he proved himself a total dweeb and accomplished nothing.  any way, it may be boring, but chasing down these type of people gives me some satisfaction, though a complete wast of time.  what is fun about running for 25 minutes? beats me.

Some call them losers, I call them "targets" :)

But with an arena that has lots of easy kills to be had, I personally don't like to blow all my e chasing some runner.  But if  people like to spend 25 minutes running down someone, it is their $$$ and their time, and if it gives them a good feeling, go for it. :)

I stop all the lamers from whining, and talking smack to me.  It is really easy!  I just turn off channel 200.  :aok

Exactly. Nomak and I were talking about this exact thing a few weeks back. I would rather turn and fight, and die than runaway with my pretend plane and my free life (1 of an unlimited amount of lives in AH) and knowing that I gave the sortie some sort of effort.

The thing I dont understand is, how these kinds of players are content with their abilities or lack thereof. You can say that it sounds like I am full of myself. But I have spent countless hours in the DA flying with the better players who were willing to teach. I worked for what I have. And I earned every bit of what I am. MOST importantly I know what its like, and how exciting a good fight can be.

Uh, Dedalos, You shot my C-47 on the ground. I was not damaged, and was merely unloading warm blankets, canned food, and fresh water to the poor civilians in the disaster-stricken village outside the airfield near Knitsburgh (referenced on my map as A119). To see you post here that you'd do no such thing, when in fact you'd just committed such a dastardly attack, well, that just sickens me.

Nice try but,

Those where not blankests.  From where I was they looked like BishRook propaganda papers and you were passing them to our kids.  Have you no honor?  To out kids?  What are you people going to do next?

The botles you refer to as water looked like ouzo.  Again passing it to our kids.

The food was given out for exchange of information and from what I heard, food in BishRooklandistan smells funny.

Finally, your C47 with the litle bunny on the tail, was not damaged.  I said that I will not shoot a plane I did not damage.  I guess I forgot to say that I will shoot a plane that does damage.  Especially to our children.  HOW DO YOU PEOPLE SLEEP AT NIGHT?
