Was kicking around some ideas for terrain stuff and was wondering if "holes" can be added below the 0 axis, as the way hills are added.

LOL, you reminded me of the rumor a while back that HT wanted subs in the game. This would mean objects below 0 elevation would have to be possible.

So, I tried to set terrain below 0 and that didn't work. Had my hopes up for grand canyon, death valley type elevations for a second there. :)

I'm not sure if an object can be below 0 though. I wouldn't think so.
Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

No, zero is absolute. :)

Or at least it is for the time being... maybe someday.

You can creat alts below sl but it's not controlable, what you get is a bottomless pit. all you have to do is set the alt >60'000. When you fly below sl the wings still lift but the manifold pressure drops to 0.
