They're easy to read even at 800x600... I'm really not seeing the problem here.

Jackel - have you played with gamma at all? I had to set mine to 1.40 to see pretty much anything. It's ugly as hell but it made seeing the instruments in the 38's easier for me.

Yea, been trying that.
I just beleive a slight enlargement would do the trick. Ya know, nothing drastic or nothing that would appear incorrect. Just a tad, a smidgen, little dab will do ya kind of thing. lol

For you they are, for some they aren't.  Get use to the realities of life kid, despite what your mommy and daddy tell you every night when they tuck you in, the world does not revolve an arse such as you.

Gameplay should not be altered for the benefit of people who whine needlessly.

Were talking size of gauges here Einstein. No gameplay altering and nobody is whining but you.

i run 1028 768 and also have trouble reading the p38 gauges. slightly larger gauges and indicators would be helpful

the last patch did brighten the dive flap indicator slightly. but its still hard to read. the gauges are nowhere near as easy to read as in many other planes.

So, tell us how making the gauges more legible at different resolutions will alter the game play?

What you guys doing with your heads in the cockpit looking at guages?  The bad guys are outside!

But seriously folks.  What are you looking at in the cockpit?  I think the only guages I glance at are the fuel and the flap guage.

I agree that the gauges need to be clearer, however it's done.

Also, if you have time to be worried about alt/exact airspeed, you can hold down 8 and zoom in with arrow-up and page down to get the gauges in easy sight, then hit F10 and let go of 8. That way when you have no buttons pushed you're looking at the default level, but if you push 8, you're looking into your gauges like a midget.

Guess this will sound goofy, but can't you guage how high you are in relation to things by looking outside the cockpit? :)

And after flying a particular AH bird, don't you get a 'feel' for your speed?

Maybe that's why I get shot down so often.  I gotta look at the guages more :)

As you well know, I'm generally leaking fuel and have my flaps shot off, so I guess that makes them somewhat interchangable :)

Yea, that works pretty well if you are close to deck, but not so hot with alt.
I don`t know, just call me silly I guess, but in the scheme of things this just seems like a small thing to ask for.
I mean we have dust on the runways now, fireballs for the puffy, water splashing wake for the PTs and now a working .45 that is a cool thought I guess , but totaly useless. I would just like to be able to read the gauges in the plane I happen to be flying. I`m just funny like that. :D
Frankly , another thing I am concerned about, seeing how the 84 was introduced new and these gauges were sized like  this in the new 38s and the reworked L, I am hoping this is not going to be the norm for the future reworking of all planes.
It just doesn`t appear to me that a little , just a tad, of resizing would be that big of a deal to do.
I`d like to hear from Pyro, Suds, Supe or HT concerning this. Maybe I am wrong and this is a big feat to accomplish.
