(edit: leave la-5 and 7 as LAGG)

only apply the new icon info on perked prop/jet rides and they should give you information ONLY at 400 yards!

would it be better if they make icons have less "info"?

Me thinks that if 109 gets a royal treatment, then all planes with new icons should revert back to previous version (or change 90% of it)

here's what i wish i would see

*revert 90% of the new icons and clear the "transitions"
*lavochkin fighters should just be...LAGG
*C.202 and 205 should be MACCI (nametag)
*ta-152 should absorb with 190's ICON
*since 109 got a royal treatment... then SPIT-14 should absorb to SPIT icon, this should be the same for F4U-4
*make TEMP absorb to TYHP icon

Since there are plenty of historical cases of P51's being misidentified as 109's why not throw a randomizer on the ID and make it wrong sometimes!  now we're talking about some serious reality and fun....  And more to the point, historically, missing a P51 as a 109 means that you also ID'd a friendly as an enemy... Yeah baby, BRING IT.

Just give Grey tags of 'Bogey' to planes beyond 1k... Then as you get closer you get a chance of successful ID based on the number of known friendly eyes nearby and dependent on your proximity to friendly radar!  Yeah, now we're getting ridiculous.. lets keep running...

In 'Duel of Eagles' there is one story of a 109 joining a flight of Hurricanes of 85 squadron... 85 had no idea it was a 109 until it started lighting guys up...  Yeah, now thats good gaming.

Those who want the enemy aircraft unidentifiable, please don't forget that IRL pilots had a pretty good knowledge of what they would be up against. It's definately not realistic if you need to make a quess from tens of different AC types, like it would be in the MA.
