i was going to put an image of smokers lungs up here, but its pretty gross and i dont want to preach...did it for wayyyy to long.

quitting was the best thing that i ever did though.

hard from time to time, but then so is pretty much everything worth doing.

all i know is this.

one morning i got up and had a mean conversation with myself in the mirror.

i was brutally honest and i had to pretty much threaten myself to within an inch of my life.  

smart healthy me won that battle, stupid weakling me lost.  

i guess i just needed to kick somethings ass.  it needed to be kicked more than anything else.  i needed to be more powerful than my weakness.

i am not a believer in pills, patches, hypnosis or step down programs.

you either do it, or you dont.    

when YOU choose to quit smoking...nothing can stop you.  

nothing.

(and then it's pretty easy)

p.s.  and we're talking a 2 pack a day habit.  i wasnt some panty waist smoker.  oh no...no lights for me.  marlboro reds...sometimes with the filter torn off.
