file>export>movie>*select animated gif from the dropdown menu under file name on window. export.

I had a lot that didnt have the correct codec for it to open, currently trying a test file out

LOL got a 100mb .gif from a 4.3 mb .flv clip

how you output it is important as well...but ya, it's going to be alot bigger regardless.
